Meet Our Leaders!

Adam Maynard
Director
Adam is the owner of Global Minds, and the director of the Phoenix campus. He has 7 years of English immersion teaching abroad at international schools/language centers, making stops in South Korea, Thailand, China, Taiwan and Tanzania. Adam has traveled to over 40+ countries, and has visited schools in the majority of these countries. He has blended in many of the concepts, ideas and philosophies that were successful for these various schools into the Global Minds curriculum/pedagogy. His belief in the balance of play and dedicated learning time, language acquisition, social/emotional/physical development and cultural understanding form the foundation of our preschool. He is the proud father of Global Minds graduate (2024 graduate).

Chi Chi Laoshi
Administrator
Prior to helping found Global Minds Preschool in 2013, Chi taught 6 years of elementary school in Taipei, Taiwan. With her focus on preschool education, Chi completed a 140+ hour course at National Taiwan University, designed specifically for teaching young children Mandarin as a 2nd language. Chi’s bachelors in art education, her background in immersion teaching, and her experience in early childhood education make her exceptionally qualified to head our Mandarin program.
After working as the head Mandarin teacher for 11 years, Chi has transitioned to the director of our Scottsdale campus. While she assists administratively, her passion still remains with the children in the classroom. She can more often than not be found lending our teachers a hand in their classrooms, or running around with the kiddos on our playground or in theatre room. Chi is the proud mama of a Global Minds Preschool graduate (2024 graduate).

Maestra Evelyn
Teacher – Educator
Evelyn is our lead Spanish teacher, and has been with us since our inception 12 years ago. She trains all of incoming Spanish teachers at both schools, and lends her valued support to our current teachers. She has been instrumental in implementing countless teaching methods at our school, and has been a critical asset to our curriculum design. Her ability to make Spanish immersion fun and effortless is second to none! Her most praiseworthy compliment as a teacher are the countless number of parents who tell us that their child plays “Maestra Evelyn” at home! Evelyn is an incredibly affable, compassionate, caring, and kind teacher, and our kids absolutely adore her! Evelyn is the proud mother of two children in our program (2025, 2028 graduates).
